La Marzocco Launches Sistema for Monitoring Fleets of Espresso Machines

Italian espresso machine companyLa Marzoccois expanding further into the digital realm with the launch ofSistema, a subscription-based web platform for monitoring usage, performance and maintenance data across fleets of connected La Marzocco commercial espresso machines. Sistema is a web app that gathers and displays data from fleets of commercial espresso machines equipped with an internet-of-things (IoT) gateway. Compatible product lines currently include the KB90, Linea PB, Linea Classic S, GB5 and Strada S. Users onboard machines throughthe La Marzocco app, which remains a separate tool for pairing and controlling individual machines. Sistema monitors fleet performance rather than directly changing individual machine settings. If its data reveals an inconsistency, users can open the La Marzocco app to adjust supported settings. Operators can invite technicians into their accounts while limiting access to machine and maintenance data, keeping sales and operations information private. Sistema joins a growing field of cloud-based commercial coffee equipment platforms, including manufacturer-specific services and machine-agnostic third-party systems.
