About the paper

The Financial Post

The Financial Post is a paper-quality editorial publication covering technology, policy, artificial intelligence, and science for readers who prefer depth over noise. We set our pages in Playfair Display and Noto Serif because the way a story looks changes how it is read — and we believe a serious subject deserves a serious column.

What we cover

Our beats are organized into three modules: Policy & Power, the rules reshaping the network; Tech & Intelligence, the silicon, models, and devices in between; and Science & Life, the natural world and the price of living in it. Every story carries a byline, a reading time, and an editor’s verdict on whether it matters in a year.

Editorial principles

The masthead

The desk is small by design: senior correspondents, a markets reporter, a policy analyst, a science writer, and an investigations team. We publish a curated edition rather than a firehose, on the theory that the most useful thing an editor can do is decide what to leave out.
